Where it is
Melipal is about 4 km from downtown Bariloche, on the slopes of Cerro Otto. It runs from the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi up to Los Maitenes and Los Pinos streets, and Avenida Bustillo, the lakeside road heading west from downtown, crosses it.
A neighbourhood with its own history
It was subdivided in the 1940s and went on sale in 1946. Over time it gained its own shops and services, so day-to-day errands don't need a trip downtown.
Who it suits
Those who want the lake close by and downtown a few minutes away, without the downtown bustle. It's also a good base for heading out to the Circuito Chico and Llao Llao along the same avenue.
